Chair of Professional Chapter- Carissa Brehm
My name is Carissa Brehm and it is an honor to be Chair of the Professional Chapter of CCDA. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento, in May of 2009. I am a former member of the executive council of Chi Sigma Sigma, the CSU Sacramento chapter of the counseling honor society Chi Sigma Iota. While in Chi Sigma Iota, I re-developed the chapter, recruited new members, and planned and implemented educational and professional events. My experiences, including those in Chi Sigma Iota, have prepared me to meet the needs of the CCDA community. Professional growth and support are increasingly important in this economy; I look forward to helping this organization adapt and expand to meet the demands of a changing nation.
Secretary of Professional Chapter- Natalie Paus
My name is Natalie Paus and I graduated from the California State University, Sacramento Career Counselor Master's Program in May of 2009. I was the Co-Chair of the CCDA Student Chapter and helped established the first student chapter on Sacramento State's campus in 2008. I currently work at the R.I.S.E. Program as a Student Personnel Assistant at Sacramento City College. I wanted to stay involved and connected to CCDA and ran for Secretary of the Professional Chapter. I am excited and motivated to create more professional development and networking events for CCDA.
Treasurer of Professional Chapter- Alejandra Chamberlain
My name is Alejandra Chamberlain and I am honored to say that I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Masters in Counseling specialization Career. I currently work at the Rancho Cordova Sacramento Works Career Center (One-Stop) as the Youth Specialist. I want to be a part of CCDA because I know the importance of networking and I am a natural networker who enjoys being around people and connecting people to resources.
Chair of Student Chapter- Ashlie Gray
My name is Ashlie Gray, and I am looking forward to serving CCDA as the student chair for California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). I am a current student, and an undergraduate alumnus of CSUS, anticipating a December 2009 graduation date with my Master's in Counseling, Career Specialization. This will be the first position I've held with a professional organization, and I look forward to the knowledge and experience it will bring. I hope that my own education and experience can help to serve CCDA and its members. Professionally I have been working with at-risk youth for the past four years with Sacramento County Probation; and previous to that had worked in Human Resources for five years. With personal and professional experience in the career world, I am intimately aware of the challenges of our current economic and employment climate and the need for professional development. I look forward to meeting fellow professionals and working along with my fellow CCDA officers and members. Thank you for this opportunity!

My name is Mindy Tubra, and I am a student in the Counselor Education Department at California State University, Sacramento. My specialization is in Career Counseling and my expected graduation date is May 2010. I completed my undergraduate degree at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Placer County and I am looking forward to working with and serving the members of CCDA. I am excited to promote career development in the state of California to individuals of all walks of life. I hope this year is full of opportunity to grow and develop our local chapter of CCDA.
Treasurer of Student Chapter- Forest Kelley
My name is Forrest Kelley, and it is a privilege and honor to represent and serve the CCDA as the student treasurer for California State University, Sacramento. I am a current graduate student and alumnus of CSUS and plan on receiving a Master's of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Career Counseling in May of 2010. In the coming months I will be working at the College of Continuing Education at CSUS primarily focusing my attention on providing services to international students at the English Language Institute. Before graduate school, I worked as a High School English teacher in Japan for two years and was an instructor and coordinator at a grass roots educational center for youth in India. I look forward to collaborating with and providing support to my fellow CCDA officers and members and I will strive to advocate and promote growth, opportunity, and connection to all in the field of career development and beyond. I am thrilled for this learning experience and look forward to the professional growth and networking possibilities that the CCDA will abundantly provide. Thank you for this unique opportunity.
